It’s one year to the day that Lewes District Council boldly passed in a Rights of River motion at full Council with support from Sussex Wildlife Trust and Ouse and Adur Rivers Trust. This powerful landmark step has raised the profile nationally and bolstered efforts to prioritise the health of the River Ouse.
We applaud the Council’s bravery and commitment to date and look forward to supporting them over the next year in the development of the River Ouse Charter with local communities and stakeholders.
